Luther Returns to BBCA

Golden Globe winner Idris Elba makes his long awaited return to BBC America in a one-off Luther special that will air 17 December at 8/9c. Still troubled by the murders of both his wife, and close friend Justin, Luther returns from self imposed exile to track down another sadistic killer. Elba told the BBC “I think Luther goes back just because he can’t stay away from it for too long,” says Elba. “Ultimately, because he’s a protector, and he just wants to be able to fix what he can see other people won’t be able to…”

Written and created by Neil Cross and directed by Sam Miller (No Good Deed, Fortitude) the Luther special also stars Laura Haddock (Guardians of the Galaxy, Ripper Street, Da Vinci’s Demons) as Megan Cantor.
